Our Leadership consists of University of St Andrews alumni working in financial, legal and investment professions in London.

Co-Chairman
Paul Moravek
Paul is the Managing Director at Hayfin, focusing on origination and investment opportunities in the UK. Before joining Hayfin, he was a senior member of the European Leveraged Finance team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan Chase. He also co-founded the online investment platform Venture Founders. Paul graduated from the University of St Andrews with an MA in Economics and International Relations.

Lucien Bartram
Lucien is an experienced entrepreneur, owner, manager of Medical Technology, Educational Technology and Investment businesses, specialising in bringing new technologies to market. Lucien has invested, owned and managed numerous technology businesses over the last two decades with 3 successful exits and 11 ongoing ventures. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and pure mathematician by background. Lucien is a hands-on leader, with a proven track record in strategy.

Head of Network
Alistair Galloway
Alistair currently works in the City for a Private Equity firm, he has previously worked at a multi-family office, and a global asset management company. Alistair previously founded two businesses and has provided entrepreneurship, mentoring and training to numerous start-ups. A Sandhurst trained, former British Army Captain, Alistair has built a number of strategic partnerships and developed key networks. He is currently an elected member of the University of St Andrews General Council Business Committee, and graduated with a BSc(Hons) in Biochemistry.

Head of Deal Flow
Harry Thomas
Harry has been in Venture Capital since 2013. During that time he has been responsible for both raising and deploying capital. At Beringea, he has worked with hundreds of companies looking to scale here in the UK and abroad. Prior to joining Beringea, Harry worked for a start-up.

Head of Investor Relations
Alex Rowe
An Economics graduate, Alex has worked in the investment space for the last 4 years. With a background in academia, he has carried out pioneering research into the UK equity crowdfunding landscape. He’s also worked with several high growth startups in London’s tech scene and was most recently involved in one of the largest crowdfunding campaigns in the UK to date, raising £6m.

Matthew
Leonard
Matthew graduated in 2017 with a First Class Honours in International Relations. He has previously worked as the Syndicate Manager of EOS Technology Investment Syndicate and was involved in establishing the St Andrews Angels of New York. He holds a Masters in Real Estate Finance from the University of Cambridge and currently works as a real estate acquisitions analyst.
